Phyllis Dawn McMillan, 55, Treasure Island, Florida, formerly of Enigma, died Thursday, July 23, 2015, at Palms of Pasadena Hospital in Saint Petersburg, Florida. Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, July 26, 2015, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with Rev. John Harrington and Joseph Carter officiating. Ms. McMillan was born on August 6, 1959 in Thomas County, the daughter of Edna Fountain McMillan of Enigma and the late Maurice Carroll McMillan. In addition to her father, she was also preceded in death by one brother, Mark Carter McMillan. She was the assistant director of the Chamber of Commerce of Treasure Island/Madeira Beach, Florida. She was an honor graduate of Berrien County High School in Nashville and attended Georgia Southern College. She was a member of Enigma United Methodist Church and was a veteran of the United States Air Force. In addition to her mother, Ms. McMillan is survived by one son, Ryan Maurice Osman of New Orleans, Louisiana; one brother, Keith McMillan of Enigma; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Sandy and Bill Bowen of Enigma and Carole and Gregg Frank of Johns Creek; one sister-in-law, Monica McMillan of Cordele; and one grandchild, Miranda Osman of Houston, Texas. In addition to her nephews, she is also survived by two nieces, Ashley Greenwald and husband Pete and Lollie McMillan; and two great-nephews, Cade and Weston Greenwald.

Robert “Bob” Albert Parker, 82, of Tifton passed away Wednesday, August 12, 2015, at Southern Care Assisted Living in Tifton. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Janie Smith Parker; and one sister, Anne Parker Keen. He retired from the United States Marine Corps as a First Sergeant. He also served as a drill instructor at Parris Island and served in the Vietnam War and the Korean Conflict, where he was wounded in action. After retiring from the military, he was an insurance adjuster. Mr. Parker is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Dodie Parker of Duluth; two daughters, Bobbie Parker Baldree and Bonnie Parker, both of Tifton; one brother, Charlie Parker of Brunswick; three sisters, Emily Palmonteer, Paula Smith and Jennifer Nix, all of Brunswick; seven grandchildren, Ashley Sumner, Mandy Parker, Jessica Parker, Hunter Parker, Quinn Baldree, Derrick Baldree and wife April and Kelli Kent Doss and husband, Jonathan; and five great-grandchildren. Linda Marie Hudson, 71, of Tifton, died Sunday, August 16, 2015, at Tift Regional Medical Center in Tifton.
Funeral services will be held 11 AM, Tuesday, August 18, 2015, at Ocilla United Methodist Church with the Rev. Jay Roberson officiating. Interment will follow in the Ocilla Cemetery. The family will receive friends from one hour prior to the service in the sanctuary of Ocilla United Methodist Church.
Ms. Hudson was born December 26, 1943, in Irwin County, Georgia, to the late Charlie “Buddy” & Cleavie Maddox Hudson. A 1962 graduate of Irwin County High School, she graduated from South Georgia College in 1964 and in 1966 earned her Bachelors degree from Valdosta State College. She was a long-time educator having taught in Griffin as well as at Irwin Academy and Irwin County Middle School. In 1988/89, she was named Teacher of the Year at Irwin Middle. Ms. Hudson loved to read and spend time fishing. She also loved her dogs. She was a member of Ocilla United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her siblings and their spouses: Annelle H. & Charles Paulk and Harry & Druscilla Hudson, all of Ocilla; her nieces: Debbie Paulk Mixon, Julie Paulk Walker, and Connie Hudson Evans; a nephew, Andrew Hudson; four great-nephews; and two great-nieces. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Charlene Hudson; a brother, David “Pete” Hudson; and a nephew, Charles David Paulk.
