Bobbie June Warren, 71, of Omega, passed away Tuesday, March 31, 2015, at her residence. Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 3, 2015, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with Rev. Lennon Howell officiating. Mrs. Warren will be laid to rest at Omega Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday, April 2, 2015, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Troy Moore, Felton Norman, Nicky Wiley, Scottie Lowery, Billy Wayne Franklin, Sr. and Billy Wayne “Scooter” Franklin, Jr. will serve as pallbearers. Mrs. Warren was born June 7, 1943 in Winston County, Mississippi, the daughter of Robert Brutus Warren and Vada Lou Banes Warren, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Pleasant “P. J.” Warren, Jr., who died August 5, 2013; one brother; and two sisters. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Warren is survived by three sons and two daughters-in-law, Jay Hawk and Sabrina Warren of Jacksonville, Florida, Joe Paul and Daphne Warren of Mississippi and Robert Lasseter of Omega; three daughters and sons-in-law, Tammy and Felton Norman of Tifton, Hope and Scottie Lowery of Omega and Gina Robinson and her husband of Colorado; one sister, Betty Lou Lowery of Omega; eight granddaughters; four grandsons; and one great-granddaughter.

James “Jim” Henry Joy, Jr., 72, of Tifton passed away Wednesday, April 1, 2015, in Tifton. His funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 4, 2015, at the First Baptist Church of Ty Ty with Rev. Justin Devereaux officiating. Mr. Joy will be laid to rest at Oak Ridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday, April 3, 2015, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Mr. Joy will be placed in the church one hour prior to the service. Mason Hardy, Hunter Caley, Allen Peugh, Kevin Robinson, Kyle Robinson, Bobby Paulk, Randy Paulk, Steve Shaw and Gene Arnold, Jr. will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be the Deacons of the First Baptist Church of Ty Ty, Bo Edenfield and Gene Arnold, Sr. Mr. Joy was born January 16, 1943 in Jacksonville, Florida, the son of James Henry Joy, Sr. and Ruby Williams Joy, both deceased. He was retired from MRS Homecare in Tifton and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Ty Ty, where he also served as a deacon. He was a volunteer at G. O. Bailey Elementary School, where he was a reader and tutor. He was a certified police officer and EMT-I and one of the first certified volunteer firemen in Tifton. He was also a member of the Civil Defense. Mr. Joy is survived by his wife, Margaret “Maggie” Griffin Joy of Tifton; two sons and a daughter-in-law, William Brian and Candy Joy and J. Barry Joy, all of Tifton; four grandchildren and their spouses, Laryn Joy, Emily and Hunter Caley, Mason Hardy and Mallory Hardy; and five great-grandchildren, Sara Joy Patterson, Abbigail Carr, Elizabeth Musgrove, Sophie Caley and Noah Caley. Flowers will be accepted or memorial gifts may be made to the First Baptist Church of Ty Ty Memorial Fund, 157 North Church Street, Ty Ty, GA 31795.

“C. W.” Clyde Walton “Rocky” Pharr, Jr., 78, of Tifton passed away Wednesday, April 1, 2015, in Tifton. A memorial service will be held at 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 7, 2015, at the Pharr residence at 249 Swain Road in Tifton. Mr. Pharr was born October 14, 1936 in Prentiss County, Mississippi, the son of Clyde Walton Pharr, Sr. and Ozelle Marie Gann Pharr, both deceased. He was a general contractor. In 1954, he moved to Seattle, Washington in the United States Army and subsequently met his wife, JoAnn Irwin, and they married in 1960. They lived in Bellevue, Washington until 2008. He was a devoted family man and enjoyed golfing and fishing. He was a great businessman and builder. Mr. Pharr is survived by his wife of 55 years, JoAnn Irwin Pharr of Tifton; one daughter and son-in-law, Tarie and Ken Lebeck of Tifton; one granddaughter and her husband, Celia and J. R. Faw; two great-grandchildren, Rocky Faw and Charlie Jane Faw; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Bobby Kent and Gloria Pharr of Lenox, Terry Pharr of Omega and John Dale and Carol Pharr of Lenox; and three sisters, Aughie Rhea Bocardo of New Jersey, Sarah Stanford and Sandra Day, both of Lenox. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the charity of your choice.

James Bernard “Jim” Skinner, 92, of Tifton, formerly of Fitzgerald, died Monday, April 6, 2015, at Southern Care Assisted Living in Tifton.

Graveside services will be held 1 PM, Wednesday, April 8, 2015, at the Evergreen Cemetery with the Rev. Dr. Michael Ruffin officiating.

Mr. Skinner was born October 18, 1922, in Quitman, Arkansas, to the late James Roy & Virginia Myrtle Hardy Skinner. He graduated high school in Centerville, Arkansas and served his country honorably in the United States Army during World War II. Following his service, he earned a Bachelors’ degree from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville followed by a Masters in Animal Husbandry. He retired as the National Supervisor for Poultry Grading having worked in the Ag Market Services Poultry Division of the United States Department of Agriculture. He moved to Fitzgerald in late 2007 coming from Arkansas. A member of First Baptist Church, Mr. Skinner was in the Fellowship Sunday school class.

He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Vauda Lee Farley Skinner of Tifton; a son, Larry Don & Marcia Skinner of Albuquerque, New Mexico; a daughter, Cathey & Rev. Tom Braziel of Fitzgerald; four grandchildren: Jacob & Christie Skinner of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, Bethany & Tyler Herreman of Hays, Kansas, Casey & John Carroll of Danville, Virginia, and Laura Braziel of Marietta; two great-grandchildren; and a sister, Fern Norred of Tampa, Florida.

Mr. Tanner was born August 14, 1953 in Big Spring, Texas, the son of Barbara Lee Owens of Tifton and the late Grady Vinson Tanner, Sr. He was raised in Tift County and attended Tift County Schools. In addition to his mother, Mr. Tanner is survived by two sons, Vince Tanner of Fox Lake, Illinois and Randall Tanner of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; one daughter and son-in-law, Carrie and Jordan Poirier of Bloomer, Wisconsin; one brother, Tommy Tanner of Abbeville; and one grandson, Cade James Poirier of Bloomer, Wisconsin.

She was a member of Pine Level Freewill Baptist Church in Worth County. Mrs. Conger is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Perry and Dolores Conger of Tifton; and two grandchildren, Shane Conger and Auden Conger.
