Robert Leon Harper, 60, of Tifton passed away Friday, March 20, 2015, at his sister’s home in Nashville. His funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, March 21, 2015, at Liberty Baptist Church in Tifton with Rev. Mickey Lindsey officiating. Mr. Harper will be laid to rest at Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday, March 21, 2015, from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. at Liberty Baptist Church. J. L. Taylor, Christopher Enslow, Robert Trowell, Dale Harper, Jody Lokey and Josh Taylor will serve as pallbearers. Mr. Harper was born October 8, 1954 in Tift County, the son of Myra Lee Brooks Harper of Sumner and the late Charles Harper. In addition to his father, he was also preceded in death by a sister, Linda Peavey. In addition to his mother, Mr. Harper is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Charles Robert and Laura Harper of Durham, North Carolina; one sister, Dorothy Taylor of Nashville; and two grandchildren, Brody Harper and Garrett Harper.
