Belia Garza Barrera, 80, of Omega died Saturday, November 8, 2014, at her residence surrounded by her family. A private funeral service and burial will be held at a later date. Mrs. Barrera was born on January 1, 1934 in San Benito, Texas and was the daughter of Juan Barrientos and Maria Garza Barrientos, both deceased. She was a homemaker and had lived in Omega for the past 40 years. Mrs. Barrera is survived by her husband, Martin Barrera, Sr. of Omega; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Martin Jr. and Jeannie Barrera of Hereford, Arizona and Rene Barrera of Omega; four daughters and two sons-in-law, Noemi Barrera and Ramon Claudio of San Benito, Texas, Maria A. (Annie) and Jackie L. Cox of Tifton, Dora Robles of San Benito, Texas and Melva Barrera of Omega; twelve grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
