Danny Ray “Bo” Carter, Sr., 60, of Douglas died Monday, March 24, 2014, in Douglas. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, March 28, 2014, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Rev. Joseph L. Crumley will officiate with burial to follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery. Darrel Goodman, Logan Goodman, Bruce Taylor, Jason Pickett, Brodie Friend and Steve Causey will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 27, 2014, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Mr. Carter was born on December 25, 1953 in Tifton and was the son of Curtis Adam Carter and Mary Jean Goodman Osborne-Eaton, both deceased. He was also preceded in death by his grandparents, Dorsey and Dan Goodman of Ty Ty and Frank and Lily Carter of Sumner. He was a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church in Douglas. Mr. Carter is survived by one son, Danny Ray Carter, Jr. of Bloomingdale; one daughter, Jennifer Amanda Carter of Boynton Beach, Florida; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Diann and W. H. Ward of South Carolina and Dawn Worrell of Alapaha; and two grandchildren, Angelina Wimbley and Dylan Carter.
