Marietta Redd Bell, 65, of Ocilla, Georgia, died Monday, March 3, 2014, at Tift Regional Medical Center, in Tifton.
Funeral services will be held 11 AM, Thursday, March 6, 2014, at The Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Ocilla. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends, Wednesday evening, from 6 to 8, at the funeral home in Ocilla.
Mrs. Bell was born November 6, 1948, in Denver, Colorado, to Henry Calvin and Isabell Russell Lockwood of Fitzgerald. She made a career in banking, while living in Florida. Being a 28 year veteran with the Bank of Belle Glade, Florida; she began working after high school as a cashier; later became a branch manager and then she was promoted to a bank officer. After moving to Ocilla in 2007, she became part owner and operator of the Antique Shop, Bell Enterprises, in Ocilla. She loved her family and also enjoyed fishing. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Belle Glade, Florida.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband of 18 Years: Griffin Bell of Ocilla; a son: Chris Redd of Okeechobee, Florida; daughter: Gena Redd of Port Saint Lucie, Florida; step-children: Cynthia Burnett of Marco Island, Florida, Daniel Bell of West Palm Beach, Florida, Shawn Bell of Marietta, Dorothy Nelson of Orlando, Florida, Angela Garcia of Tampa, Florida, Robert Bell and Jennifer Hazelwood both of Springhill, Tennessee; 19 grandchildren; a sister and her husband: Geraldine L. & Ray Tyler of Fitzgerald; nephew: Myles & Bethany Tyler of Fitzgerald and two great-nephews: Mason and Marcus Tyler of Fitzgerald.
