Barbara Cooper Lingefelt, 60, of Evans passed away Tuesday, September 22, 2015 at Doctor’s Hospital in Augusta. A graveside funeral service will be held for Mrs. Lingefelt at 12:00 noon Saturday, September 26, 2015, at Tift Memorial Gardens, where she will be laid to rest with military honors. Apostle (Dr.) Erica Jones will officiate. The family will receive friends Friday, September 25, 2015, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Mrs. Lingefelt was born February 6, 1955 in Germany, the daughter of Raymond Cooper, Sr. and Ingeborg Ulrich Cooper, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by her husband, William Hyman Lingefelt. She was a registered nurse at Dwight D. Eisenhower Army Medical Center in Fort Gordon. She was a veteran of the United States Army. Mrs. Lingefelt is survived by one son, William Lingefelt of Kingsland; two daughters and one son-in-law, Shannon Lingefelt and Bridget and Robert James, all of Evans; five brothers, James Cooper of Opelika, Alabama, Richard Cooper of Auburn, Alabama, Raymond Cooper, Jr. of Columbus, Robert Cooper of Cataula and Billy Cooper of North Carolina; four sisters, Rita Cooper and Janet Woodall, both of Cataula, Norma Dunford of Hamilton and Shirley Bardier of Augusta; and nine grandchildren, Stephen Lingefelt, Kayla Lingefelt, Alexis Lingefelt and Connor Lingefelt, all of Berrien County, Hunter Woods, Hannah James, Dalton James, Carson Holifield and Carli Holified, all of Evans.
